This Peter Pan painting seems like a logical place to start- I use it as the first page in my portfolio and he is one of my favourite pieces & I don't think its just because we look so much alike....
The piece was largely done in watercolour and watercolour pencil and is of indeterminate size- truthfully his head was one piece of A4 and his body another....the rest on various pieces of various sizes.
I used to do that with a larger piece for the most part out of terror that I would spill something on it! Hopefully when its all stitched together in Photoshop you can hardly tell.
